Forums updated to PHPBB 3.1

Post by Dabomstew » Fri Apr 24, 2015 12:54 pm

I didn't think this was important enough to be published on the main news feed so posting it here will suffice. You can post in this thread if you have any issues with the changes made by the update.

Maybe it's just the mobile interface that lost it, but the main page doesn't show the most recent post anymore. Also, threads can no longer scale to a phone screen's size, which is fairly annoying going back and forth for longer posts.

E: It seems like once you've created a post, the updated thread starts resizing properly.

Can you edit the forum index to put back the New posts button ?

New posts: It's under Quick Links > New posts now. If it's really that important I could add separately as well though.

Mobile layout: I wasn't aware PHPBB 3.0 was even serving a mobile layout, seems like 3.1 is trying to do stuff which is a bit annoying. Will look into it a bit more.

Honestly, disabling it would probably be the best option. Unless anyone here's on a 10 year old Nokia flip phone with a SIM card originally served by Cingular, modern smartphone browsers handle desktop sites pretty well.

Small update to PHPBB 3.1.6 applied. Don't think there should be any noticeable changes but if there are any new issues let me know.
