To third (fourth?) an opinion, I don't think it should be a charity marathon.

Re: PSR Marathon 2016 - Another one?

Would you (or someone who knows) mind pm-ing me a rough idea of the cost of that? I don't want to out dabomstew's contributions if he doesn't want that to happen, but I might be in a position to fund the next one, depending on the amount.

Re: PSR Marathon 2016 - Another one?

I'm not too familiar with the organisation side of this, but where does the cost come from?
Also I'm echoing keiz that I'd love to me more involved with this one.

Re: Poll: Revisiting Instant Text Ruling for Any% Glitchless

Guys, multiple people, mods/staff/whatever, have said now that this isn't a topic to discuss whether IT is a glitch. For the hard of hearing: For the purposes of Pokemon Speedruns, Instant Text is not considered a glitch. This topic is to discuss whether IT has a place in any% glitchless, and that a...

As an addition to exarion's post (please don't think this is me moaning this program is fucking amazing): 4) Save/Remember the pokemon, natures and ivs searched for when closing the program, so that its ready to go when you open it next (maybe save them as profiles, for multiple game setups? Re: Question about national language of pokemon

To add to the above points, there's nothing stopping anyone from running the japanese versions, and many people have (G-heinz has run jap sapphire, MeVRNG has run jap leafgreen, off the top of my head), you just can't submit them to the leaderboards. There has been discussion about adding in japanes...

Re: Poll: Revisiting Instant Text Ruling for Any% Glitchless

I hope no one is judging anyone who was part of the original decision to allow IT, its by far a difficult judgenent to make and i think they did everything possible to support the community and make a choice that represented the community. If people are annoyed at the decision because a good time wa...

PSR Monthly Showdown tournaments

So after the success of the recent ranbat tournament, people expressed a desire to have more tournaments. So, starting from now, I'd like to announce the monthly PSR Showdown tournaments. How it will work: Shortly after the previous tournament ends, a link to a form will go up, both in this thread a...

Requesting a Red/Blue hack that limits pokemon to 3 moves, with no other changes, and another in a similar vain but allows up to 5 moves.

Re: Randoms Tournament

Okay, going from the availability form, the best days to have this will be the weekend of the 13th and 14th. Apologies to the 2 people that aren't available on those days, but I had to choose consecutive days that would alienate the least people, and choosing the later weekend gives people a chance ...

Valentine's Day Randoms Tournament

People have been talking about doing a quick randoms tournament in the PSR discord, so we thought we'd try and see who was interested and when they would be available. Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire Catch Spinda

Re: Leaderboards (Romhacks/Other Categories)

Yeah, a thread would work too, probably much easier to set up.

(As an aside, I don't have too strong feelings about this, but I do feel that a category having little or no runners should be a large factor in whether it gets a leaderboard or not.)

Re: Leaderboards (Romhacks/Other Categories)

Some kind of psr.com submission form for potential new categories would be useful. Have moderators of the particular game, along with leaderboard admins and site admins discuss adding them in.

£75 ($100) in bounties for Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire Speedruns

Copied from the r/speedruns post: "Hi, I'm Amoeba, and amongst a few things I've speedrun the gameboy advanced game Pokemon Pinball:Ruby & Sapphire Edition. I picked it up one day purely because I was, at the time, tired of the game I was running and wanted a quick distraction. I didn't expect to fa...

Re: Take Down and efficient redbarring

What do you think of the move Explosion as it pertains to speedrunning? Is finding and teaching worth the time and time investment for later dividends? I haven't seen it mentioned, but it is both powerful (250BP) and gives recoil. However, only 100% accuracy. TM47 (Explosion) can be found in Victory...
